I've been a personal Training client of Dave's since 2014. I had many physical issues; ankles, knees, hips, and a torn pec which causes shoulder issues.
Dave started me on the basics and over the years he's built me back up. I feel better and I have more stamina, which I need in my line of work.
I’ve always had stomach issues and never put gut health with overall health. When Dave completed his training as a Functional Health Coach we worked together to investigate why I've had issues with my gut.

Confused by all the nutrition info on the internet?
I will help you make sense of all the diets like Keto, Paleo, plant based, Intermittent Fasting, Juice Diets, etc. and, together, we'll come up with a plan that best suits you and your goals.
It's not just about what you eat, but also how you approach eating and foods in general. Mindset and psychology play a big part when it comes to eating well and that is also part of my Nutrition Coaching program.

Functional Health Coaching
How it Works
After you've scheduled a consultation, we'll meet by phone or Zoom for about 30 minutes and discuss your main health complaints and decide whether my program is right for you. The consultation is free.
Please note that I only work with people that 100% committed to improving their health. There are no magic pills, and this is not an exact science. You must be willing to follow the recommendations I make. Failure to follow my protocols means you may not get the results you seek.
Once we've decided to work together, you will fill out several health surveys and intake forms, so I have more information about your health concerns. This information lets me look for patterns in your past and current health.
I will order labs for you. These may include hormones, thyroid, stool samples, food sensitivity, heavy metals, and others. Most of the labs are in-home and don't require a blood draw.
Once I have all the results, I will develop a plan of action that includes Diet, Exercise, Rest, Stress Reduction, and strategic supplementation to support your body.
We will meet again via Zoom to go over the lab results and correlate them to your health complaints. The Results and Recommendation meeting is very detailed and takes about 90 minutes. We'll go over all my recommendations and answer any questions you may have. The recommendations cover Diet, Rest, Exercise, Stress, and Supplementation.
We will meet virtually every week for the first month to make sure you are following the plan. We will also discuss any issues you may have encountered and highlight the positive results you have achieved. After the first month, we'll meet every few weeks. You can email me with any questions or concerns you may have, and I will get back to you within 24 hours.
Periodic re-testing is necessary to make sure you are improving. I will update your recommendations and make changes as needed to your plan based on the new lab results, including changes to your diet, rest, exercise, stress, your supplementation.

I'll develop a plan for you including daily educational emails and habits for you to work on. The plans are based on science, not the latest fad diet. These are typically 6 to 8 week programs depending on your goals
Follow the program, ask questions keep a food journal, and keep me informed of your progress

As the owner of IronBody Fitness and a Certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, my passion has always been helping people get fit and healthy. I started training in martial arts in 1989 and became an assistant instructor as a brown belt in 1991. In 1993 I earned my first degree black belt and was head instructor for many years. I achieved the rank of Master in 2011. Currently I am training in, and teaching, Balintawak Eskrima, a Filipino martial art. I'm also studying Hung Gar Kung Fu under Sifu Mike Marshall.
In 2002 I started training with kettlebells and became a certified instructor. I've been coaching people in the safe and effective use of kettlebells ever since.
Over the years I have taken many courses on fitness, massage, nutrition, physical therapy and functional medicine. I have also taught many seminars to other fitness professionals.
As a Fitness coach, I have written four books, all available on Amazon. I also have created several digital products developed specifically for other trainers

Using detailed intake forms and running specific labs to determine your hidden health issues. From there I'll develop a plan of action to get you feeling your best.
Functional Health Coaching
This program combines my Fitness and Nutrition Coaching Programs and adds specific lab work to find the root causes of your health complaints. I analyze the data and correlate them to your health complaints and develop a plan to help you achieve long term health and vitality. In addition to Nutrition and Fitness we'll also work on your Sleep Habits and Stress Reduction. Where necessary we'll also use supplements to help bring your body back into balance
Fitness Coaching
Beyond the physical improvements you'll get from exercise, it's also a great stress reliever and can help improve cognitive abilities. With a scientifically designed training program you will get stronger, increase your mobility, lose fat, and you'll find it easier to do every day tasks. You'll have more energy to do the things you love doing.
Nutrition Coaching
Learn to eat the right foods for you. Many people have low level food sensitivities which can drive inflammation and auto-immune issues. This can cause a lot of health issues such as thyroid problems, arthritis, gut issues, and more.
I'll teach you how to make smart food choices. I'll show you what foods to avoid and why. I'll teach you what foods are best for you, portion control and more.
